Clevedon Music Shop on-line brings a friendly local music shop direct to your home. Situated five minutes from junction 20 of the M5 – 10 miles north of Weston-super-mare and 13 miles south west of Bristol, the shop has free parking directly outside the shop. You will receive a warm and friendly welcome from our experienced staff, who offer an excellent after-sale service, because we care.

Clevedon Music Shop has been established since 1989 under the same ownership, and has grown from initially being a market unit within the Old Market Hall, to occupying two shop positions in Alexandra Road, Clevedon.  No.19 houses the enormous stock of sheet and printed music, as well as Orchestral and Folk Instruments. The adjacent shop (No.17) was purchased in 1998 and has become the guitar, band equipment, keyboards and drum department. We are a Yamaha ‘Clavinova’ dealer, and keep 3 different models in stock at any one time, as well as Yamaha Keyboards and accessories.

The owner of the shop, Bob Bailey, took over the business when it was 6 boxes of sheet music and the odd violin, guitar and a recorder! Now it occupies two shop positions as previously stated, and enjoys a huge reputation for supplying all musical requirements to the surrounding area.  Bob has a background in Music, playing for the local Winscombe Orchestra for many years and also playing in an Irish Fiddle group. Bob, over the years, has built up a significant knowledge of music, which has proved to be an asset when searching for unusual pieces of music. He also likes to have interesting  instruments in the shop, from zithers to electro-acoustic ukuleles!

We have some expertise in locating obscure pieces of music for our many customers – a reputation that has grown across the UK! We have requests for choral music (a lot of which is held in stock) from as far afield as Norfolk and Cornwall. Many Binders of Inspection Copies from leading choral publishers are held for customers to browse through, including Christmas items.

Mark heads up the Guitar Department, and has worked for the business for 15 years. He has developed the Department to create an impressive array of all types of guitar, which caters to all tastes.  With experience of playing in a band, Mark has the expertise to give advice on band requirements, gigging and equipment required. He has also been successfully setting-up and repairing guitars for the business, and has built up a significant reputation in this field. People have been known to travel from up to 60 miles away for this service. Assisting Mark in the guitar dept is Andy, and assisting Bob in the Sheet Music and Orchestral Department are Kate and Beshley.
